Senior Director, Business Development-West Coast-Remote

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Director, Business Development-West Coast-Remote to join the team of a leader in the Pharmaceuticals & Biotech space. This senior commercial leadership role will drive growth for late-phase services across the West Coast territory. The position will focus on building strategic relationships within biotechnology and pharmaceutical markets, identifying new opportunities, and advancing revenue through client acquisition and retention. The role will also partner closely with internal teams to support proposal development, pricing strategy, and professional client engagement. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $164,000 – $326,000 annually Responsibilities Achieve individual revenue and sales objectives for late phase services Leverage your biotechnology and pharmaceutical network to connect team members with prospective clients Identify new leads for potential Phase II-IV business Develop strategies for client growth and retention Assist in project proposal development and pricing reviews Coordinate and attend trade shows, ensuring smooth execution Conduct professional teleconferences and client meetings Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business or Life Sciences; Master's degree preferred 10 years of sales experience in Contract Research Organization (CRO) industries Clinical Operations background preferred Extensive knowledge of sales methods and practices Understanding of the drug development process within a CRO context Fluent in English, both written and oral Proficient in Microsoft Office and sales management software Benefits Inclusive and equitable workplace Competitive benefits package specific to location Transparent compensation process Commitment to pay equity and compliance with labor laws Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
