Senior Director, Business Development - Northeast

About the role

Jensen Hughes is seeking a Senior Director, Business Development for its Northeast fire protection engineering business. This is a hybrid position with regular days in the office and occasional travel for client meetings. The ideal candidate will be based in a Northeast metropolitan area.

Responsibilities

• Develop new business for Northeast fire protection consulting services
• Collaborate with operations staff to identify opportunities and support/manage the proposal process
• Maintain and track performance against established personal and sub-regional sales goals
• Drive the sub-regional Business Development strategy in alignment with regional and national objectives
• Participate in local marketing strategies, industry events, trade shows, etc.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) from a four-year college or university
• 5+ years demonstrated experience in engineering services and partnering with operations teams to drive orders and proposals for professional consulting services
• Candidates with prior business development experience in engineering services or related professional services are highly desirable
• A network of contacts with architectural engineering firms and end-users is a plus
• Record of success demonstrated by over achievement of sales goals, awards, sales ranking, etc.
• Advanced communication and negotiation skills as well as proficiency with common office tools such as MS PowerPoint, MS Dynamics, Excel, CRM, CoPilot, etc.
• Ability to promptly engage with both prospects and clients via phone/email/video conferences/face to face meetings, and presentations
• Ability to build and manage an expense budget
• Willingness to travel up to 20% within North America
• Engineering education or practice experience welcomed

Pay

The salary range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting and not a guarantee of compensation. Final compensation may vary based on factors, including but not limited to, responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, geographic location, internal equity, alignment with market data. National Pay Range: $120,000—$180,000 USD
