About the role

The Business Analytics team is pivotal in the delivery of modern agency services. We are tightly integrated with planning and investment teams to deliver on and exceed our clients’ business goals.

Responsibilities

External facing responsibilities

  • Consult with clients to identify business problems/opportunities and develop practical analytics roadmaps to make measurable impact on business outcomes.
  • Lead the consumer segmentation and audience identification processes.
  • Become a trusted advisor to client leads and senior clients and consult on audience strategy, measurement, and advanced analytics.
  • Share POVs regarding industry changes in the data and analytics space (future of measurement, new data solutions like clean rooms, attention measurement, etc.).
  • Lead the development and execution of the measurement plan and revisit the plan on an ongoing basis to revise it based on the most recent learnings.
  • Distill complex concepts and analytic solutions into a compelling data story with actionable conclusions to support decision making.
  • Identify growth opportunities at the brand and portfolio level innovation and the adoption of new analytics technologies.
  • Investigate the impact of new data sources and technologies on the future of marketing and the vertical our brands are operating.
  • Provide ad hoc support to clients to solve broad strategic marketing problems.
  • Lead and mentor direct reports: continually assess capabilities, provide a roadmap for career growth, and institute goals to build/expand skills.

Internal facing responsibilities

  • Partner with the Planning and Investment teams on annual budget setting, media plan development, and ongoing budget/plan optimization.
  • Recruit new talent.
  • Keep in front of industry trends and developments by conducting research, engaging in training, and attending industry events.

Requirements

  • Industry knowledge in marketing analytics and data (1st and 3rd party data solutions, data lakes, data clean rooms, aggregated and user-level data).
  • Experience in integrated marketing related to media and/or customer journey development, including budgeting, revenue forecasting, ROI development.
  • Expertise in audience-based marketing and data-driven advertising.
  • Solution development: analytic skills, critical thinking, and clarifying strategic & operational issues as relates to data and analytics.
  • Problem-solving skills to drive issues to resolution.
  • Proven leadership ability and strong, impactful client relationship experience.
  • Stellar communication and presentation skills: articulate, engaging, and straightforward—able to translate unstructured business solutions into innovative customer marketing programs.
  • Ability to train and coach colleagues for growth: organized, detail-oriented, prioritizing work, business writing & presenting, conducting analysis, and project management (scope, budgeting, timing).

Qualifications

  • A university degree and 11+ years of data and analytics experience in advertising, management consulting, marketing, or digital consulting.
  • Knowledge of agency-side media campaign planning and execution process is desirable but not required.

Schedule

Omnicom’s policy requires employees to work in the office for a minimum of three days a week, unless additional in-office days are directed by their agency or manager. The objective is to increase this requirement over time, and many agencies already require five days of in-office attendance.
