About the role

Roku is seeking a Senior Director of Ad Measurement, Insights, Analytics & Research to lead one of the most strategically important functions within our advertising business. This is a senior leadership role responsible for defining Roku's measurement vision, scaling a world-class team, and establishing Roku as the gold standard for advertising effectiveness in the streaming era — for both brand and performance marketers. In this role, you will own the full measurement lifecycle — from strategy and methodology to delivery and go-to-market — across all advertiser verticals and ad products.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and grow a team of talented measurement and analytics leads across verticals and measurement disciplines.
  • Foster a culture of intellectual rigor, curiosity, collaboration, and ownership — and champion a team-wide shift toward AI-augmented ways of working.
  • Set clear goals and operating rhythms; drive accountability against team OKRs and business outcomes.
  • Define and own Roku's comprehensive ad measurement strategy, spanning brand lift, reach & frequency, incremental reach, sales lift, attention, attribution, and media mix modeling — built to serve both brand and performance marketers, across Enterprise, Indy and M&E.
  • Drive the evolution of Roku's 1P measurement capabilities, leveraging ACR data, platform-level streaming behavior, and audience insights to build differentiated solutions unavailable elsewhere.
  • Work in conjunction with product and CS to scale these solutions for all advertisers.
  • Inspire with market exclusive audience insights that only Roku can provide – making the industry and our clients more knowledgeable.
  • Develop thought leadership content, Insights, narratives, meta-analyses, and cross-vertical case studies that demonstrate Roku's platform differentiation and drive market-wide influence.
  • Stay at the forefront of industry measurement trends to ensure Roku's offering leads rather than follows and work closely with product and business development on a roadmap to meet advertiser needs.
  • Serve as a senior executive sponsor in strategic measurement conversations with top-tier advertisers, holding companies, and agency analytics teams — including presenting at the C-suite level.
  • Monitor the competitive measurement landscape across streaming, CTV, and digital platforms and proactively position Roku's capabilities against peers.
  • Own Roku's relationships with key third-party measurement vendors including Nielsen, Comscore, iSpot, and emerging players in attention, outcome measurement, and AI-powered attribution.
  • Actively participate trade bodies (IAB, MRC, ARF, OpenAP) to shape measurement frameworks, advocate for Roku's methodological positions, and stay ahead of regulatory and standards shifts.
  • Cultivate relationships with the measurement and analytics leadership at top advertisers and agencies — establishing Roku as a trusted partner and preferred platform for measurement innovation.
  • Champion an AI-first operating model across the measurement team — actively identify, pilot, and scale AI tools and agents that automate repetitive workflows, accelerate insight generation, and enable the team to do significantly more with the same resources.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of experience in advertising measurement, analytics, research, or a closely related field; deep expertise in TV, CTV, or streaming measurement is strongly preferred.
  • 10+ years of people management experience, including leading senior individual contributors and managers; demonstrated ability to build, scale, and retain high-performing teams.
  • Proven track record of defining and executing measurement strategy at an executive level within a media company, measurement vendor, or major advertiser/agency.
  • Experience serving as a cross-functional bridge — aligning Sales, Product, Data Science, and Client Services around a shared measurement agenda and ensuring insights move across organizational boundaries into action.
  • Experience supporting both brand advertisers (awareness, consideration, brand health) and performance advertisers (ROAS, attribution, sales incrementality) with distinct but complementary measurement frameworks.
  • Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives across Product, Engineering, Sales, and external partners simultaneously.
  • Deep expertise across the full measurement stack: brand lift, reach & frequency (1P and 3P), incremental reach, sales lift, attribution (MTA, MMM), and audience analytics — with fluency across both brand and performance use cases.
  • Hands-on experience with leading 3P measurement providers including Kantar, iSpot, NCS/NielsenIQ, comScore, Experian, InMarket, EDO, and others.
  • Strong command of Roku's or comparable 1P data assets (ACR, streaming behavior, platform audience data) and ability to translate them into differentiated insights.
  • Demonstrated AI fluency — active, hands-on experience deploying AI tools (LLMs, AI agents, automation platforms) to increase team output, reduce manual effort, and scale insight delivery.

Qualifications

  • Proven leadership and management experience.
  • Exceptional executive presence with the ability to influence senior leaders and C-suite stakeholders both internally and at client and agency organizations.
  • Strong commercial instincts — ability to connect measurement strategy to revenue outcomes and articulate measurement ROI in business terms.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; track record of producing compelling thought leadership, meta-analyses, case studies, and client-facing measurement narratives.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate with agility and sound judgment in a fast-paced, high-ambiguity environment.
