Senior Director, Advertising Analytics
About the role
The Senior Director of Advertising Analytics serves as a senior analytics voice within our advertising practice. This role combines deep analytics and marketing expertise, client relationship management, team development, and financial responsibility to drive integrated analytics programs across pharmaceutical and life sciences engagements.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the client lead on advertising analytics projects, providing strategic guidance on approach and solutions.
- Establish credibility with partners and clients and engage in senior-level conversations that drive client business strategy.
- Successfully identify new and organic opportunities with clients and convert them to profit-generating business in a financially intelligent and proactive manner.
- Partner closely with integrated partners across Real Chemistry to help identify, scope, and secure new analytics opportunities.
- Be able to proactively reach out and build relationships that enable resourcefulness and operational excellence.
- Lead teams by understanding individual strengths, providing constructive feedback, and creating environments that support growth and development.
- Connect the project team to the strategic WHY behind client work and ensure team members understand how their contributions impact client business outcomes.
- Work fluently in AI-enabled research and analytics environments—applying prompt-based workflows, rapid insight generation, and lightweight, low-code, or vibe-coding approaches for analysis, synthesis, and prototyping where appropriate—while exercising strong critical thinking and ethical judgment about AI's capabilities and limitations in healthcare contexts.
Requirements
- 8+ years in analytics leadership roles with substantial advertising and marketing experience in pharmaceutical or healthcare industries.
- Prior leadership experience at healthcare communications agencies or advertising agencies serving pharmaceutical clients, with understanding of creative workflow integration.
- Proven success selling analytics services and managing revenue targets.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and close opportunities for analytics solutions within pharma and healthcare marketing ecosystems.
- Demonstrated expertise in omnichannel marketing, social listening and audience analytics.
- Knowledge of paid media a plus.
- Demonstrated practical experience using AI-enabled tools for research, analysis, synthesis, and insight development, along with familiarity with prompt-driven workflows and iterative experimentation.
- Exposure to lightweight coding, scripting, low-code tools, or modern analytics platforms is a plus.
- Exercise strong judgment about when AI accelerates thinking and when human reasoning is essential, particularly in healthcare contexts.
- Strong understanding of pharmaceutical marketing compliance requirements, data governance standards, and healthcare regulatory environment.
- Knowledge of HIPAA, data privacy regulations, and ethical data use principles a plus.
- Exceptional relationship-building skills with demonstrated ability to influence C-suite stakeholders and senior marketing leadership.
- Experience recruiting, mentoring, and inspiring high-performing analytics teams.
- Proven ability to lead a team or pod—drawing out individual strengths, connecting people to growth opportunities, and bringing the big-picture thinking and appetite for innovation that helps your team grow into what's next.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in a relevant field such as statistics, data science, marketing, or a related discipline.
- Advanced analytical skills and knowledge of statistical methods, machine learning, and data visualization tools.
- Experience with data warehousing, data modeling, and database management systems.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex analytics concepts to non-analytical stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
- Experience with project management methodologies such as Agile or Scrum.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and data privacy laws.

Pay
The pay range for this position is $130,000 - $170,000. The Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
