About the role
The Senior Digital Designer at Carnival Cruise Line is a pivotal role within the world’s most popular cruise brand, shaping how millions of guests experience our visual identity across digital platforms. This position goes beyond design—it’s about creating immersive, future-ready experiences that blend creativity, technology, and innovation at scale.
Essential Functions
- Create responsive, platform-specific designs for web, mobile, email, and social, ensuring seamless user experiences across devices.
- Integrate performance insights to refine design decisions and recommend optimizations that enhance effectiveness and support business objectives.
- Lead ideation for multi-channel campaigns, integrating motion, interactivity, and emerging design trends to elevate engagement.
- Use audience insights and creative performance data to inform concept direction and present strategic recommendations to cross-functional and functional leaders.
- Leverage tools like Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and AI-driven design platforms; apply coding fundamentals (HTML/CSS) and no-code tools (e.g., Webflow, Framer) to optimize creative output.
- Evaluate the impact of new technologies and workflows through testing and performance analysis, providing recommendations that improve efficiency, quality, and scalability.
- Partner with copywriters, developers, and marketing leaders to deliver cohesive, high-impact creative solutions that meet business objectives.
- Translate performance insights and user-behavior data into clear design rationale, advising stakeholders and influencing decision-making with data-backed recommendations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, Digital Media, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in digital design, with a portfolio showcasing responsive web, interactive, and multi-channel campaigns.
- Proficiency in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and AI-driven design tools (e.g., Firefly, Midjourney); working knowledge of HTML/CSS and no-code platforms (Webflow, Framer).
- Familiarity with automation workflows and emerging technologies that enhance creative output.
- Strong understanding of UX principles and accessibility standards.
- Demonstrated ability to lead concept development and execute high-impact digital design solutions across web, social, email, and interactive platforms.
- Proven success integrating AI-driven design tools, no-code platforms, and emerging technologies into creative workflows to enhance innovation and efficiency.
- Experience operating in fast-paced, highly collaborative environments, balancing multiple workstreams while meeting tight timelines and business objectives.
- A body of work that reflects versatility across formats and channels, such as responsive web, mobile, social, email, motion graphics, and integrated campaigns. Creative output consistently shows strong brand fluency, adaptability across categories or verticals, and a distinctive, engaging visual point of view.
- Strong understanding of UX principles, accessibility standards, and data-informed design development, using performance signals to refine creative and optimize impact.
