Key job responsibilities
- Platform Analytics & Insights
- Monitor and analyze performance data across YouTube, Meta, TikTok, and other key distribution platforms to identify trends, opportunities, and optimization levers
- Develop deep expertise in platform algorithms, recommendation systems, and content discovery mechanisms
- Create regular reporting frameworks that translate complex platform metrics into actionable insights for content creators and cross-functional stakeholders
- Stay ahead of platform updates, algorithm changes, and emerging best practices across the digital content ecosystem
- Algorithm Optimization & Audience Development
- Design and execute testing strategies to optimize content performance within platform algorithms (titles, thumbnails, metadata, posting cadence, content structure)
- Publish content that aligns with the needs and preferences of the target audience
- Partner with content creators and production teams to implement data-backed recommendations that improve discoverability and engagement
- Create distribution strategies for engaging short-form video tailored to each digital platform's unique format and audience preference
- Develop playbooks and frameworks that codify successful optimization tactics for scale across multiple shows
- Set and track KPIs for audience growth, engagement, and retention across platforms
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with A-list content creators, producers, and editorial teams to balance creative vision with platform optimization strategies
- Partner with analytics teams to build custom dashboards and reporting tools that surface critical insights
- Collaborate with partner and channel managers to create integrated distribution strategies
- Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership with clear business impact
- Strategic Planning
- Develop quarterly and annual audience development roadmaps aligned with business objectives
- Identify new platform opportunities and distribution channels for content expansion
- Build competitive intelligence frameworks to benchmark performance and identify market gaps
- Contribute to content strategy decisions with platform-informed perspectives
- 6+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
- Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
- Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)
- Experience communicating results to senior leadership
- Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional marketing programs
- Experience using data and metrics to measure impact and determine improvements
- 6+ years of experience in digital content growth, audience development, or platform optimization for media, entertainment, or creator-driven content
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with YouTube, Meta, TikTok, or comparable digital distribution platform analytics, including algorithm behavior, recommendation systems, and content discovery mechanisms
- Experience developing and managing KPIs for audience growth, engagement, and retention across multiple digital platforms
- Experience partnering directly with content creators or talent to implement optimization strategies that balance creative vision with platform performance
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, data analytics, or 5+ years experience in a related field
- Experience using any of SQL or other analytical tools for conducting data analysis
- Experience with customer segmentation, profiling, and targeting
- Experience with A/B Testing or Multi-Variate Testing or both
- Knowledge of analytics tools and web traffic reporting
- 7+ years of experience in digital audience development with a proven track record of scaling creator-led content (podcasts, video series, or short-form content) across multiple platforms simultaneously
- Experience creating and scaling optimization playbooks and repeatable frameworks that drive measurable results across a portfolio of multiple shows or content series
- Experience developing short-form video distribution strategies tailored to platform-specific formats and audience behaviors, with quantifiable engagement lift
- Experience building competitive intelligence frameworks to benchmark content performance and identify market gaps in the digital creator ecosystem
- MBA or advanced degree in a quantitative or media-related discipline
