Senior DevOps Engineer

Digital Disbursements is a fintech company focused on bringing B2C payments to the digital age. We were acquired by Western Alliance Bank in January 2022 and operate as a subsidiary. As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you'll play a key role in ensuring our solutions are safe, secure, compliant, and reliable.

Responsibilities

• Provide expertise in a suite of technical tools and products in a given domain to ensure solutions are safe, secure, compliant and reliable.
• Identify, develop, and support needs, as well as take on design responsibilities supporting project tasks.
• Facilitate dialogue and activities to ensure team collaboration including teams outside of your domain.
• Develop effective presentations and narratives for their teams.
• Assist to author and maintain complex infrastructure-as-code templates (Serverless Framework, CloudFormation, TypeScript) for AWS.
• Implement changes consistently across multi-account, multi-environment, multi-region.
• Implement and analyze AWS logging, metrics, and alerting.
• Support AWS core services, networking, security, performance, and troubleshooting, e.g. VPC networking, IAM, S3, Lambda, CloudWatch, WAF, RDS, etc.
• Enforce least-privilege access control (IAM Roles & Policies, database, etc.).
• Avoid environmental drift by identifying and resolving drift from IaC templates.
• Affirmatively define, implement, and author documentation on standards and policies.
• Follow established policies and procedures.
• Research security vulnerabilities, best-practices, and new technologies and turn that research into detailed recommendations.
• Have solid Git fundamentals (PRs, branching, merging).
• Deliver work appropriate for secure production systems.
• Experience in an environment subject to governance and audits (e.g. SOC2, PCI, SOX).

Requirements

• 7+ years of related experience in IT App Support, IT Development, IT Networking, or similar field.
• Bachelor's degree in related field required.
• Configure and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps and AWS) for application and infrastructure deployments.
• Troubleshoot pipeline failure and deployment errors with root-cause analysis.
• Partner with Dev and QA teams to implement and mature automated testing.
• Previous leadership experience preferred.
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of general Financial Services or Banking is preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices.
• Advanced proven experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Additional experience with pipeline development and leveraging Azure DevOps while working on multiple projects simultaneously.
• Advanced ability to see the big picture and align projects with organizational goals.
• Capable of leading and motivating cross-functional teams.
• Expertise in resolving conflicts and addressing challenges as well as skilled at identifying and mitigating risks at the project level.
• Proficient in governance patterns tied to intake, technical reviews and architectural compliance.
• Advanced speaking and writing communication skills.
• May require up to 25% travel.

Qualifications

Intermediate to advanced knowledge of general Financial Services or Banking is preferred.

Advanced knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices.

Advanced proven experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Additional experience with pipeline development and leveraging Azure DevOps while working on multiple projects simultaneously.

Advanced ability to see the big picture and align projects with organizational goals.

Capable of leading and motivating cross-functional teams.

Expertise in resolving conflicts and addressing challenges as well as skilled at identifying and mitigating risks at the project level.

Proficient in governance patterns tied to intake, technical reviews and architectural compliance.
