Senior Development Manager

About the role

The Senior Development Manager is responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of complex software solutions. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent project management abilities, and a deep understanding of software development methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the development and delivery of high-quality software products within budget and timeline constraints.
• Lead cross-functional teams in the design, development, testing, and deployment of software solutions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
• Ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
• Manage vendor relationships and ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of outsourced work.
• Conduct code reviews and provide technical guidance to team members.
• Develop and maintain project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
• Monitor project progress and adjust plans as necessary to meet project goals.
• Identify and mitigate risks to project success.
• Document project processes and procedures for future reference.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in software development and project management.
• Proven track record of successfully leading development teams and delivering projects on time and within budget.
• Experience with agile methodologies and tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and Git.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C#.
• Experience with database systems like MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
• Knowledge of software development frameworks and tools such as Spring Boot, Django, or Laravel.
• Experience with version control systems like GitLab or Bitbucket.
• Understanding of software architecture principles and design patterns.
• Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
