NAVFAC Information Technology Center (NITC) is seeking a versatile, senior-level Senior Developer / DevOps Engineer with 7+ years of experience to drive cloud-migration strategies and elevate DevSecOps maturity.
About the role
This position bridges traditional application development and modern cloud infrastructure. You will modernize legacy applications, mentor cross-functional software development teams, and serve as a proactive technical leader.
Responsibilities
- Integrate automated security testing (SAST/DAST) early in the software development lifecycle ("Shift-Left" mindset).
- Deploy, harden, and manage enterprise cloud workloads using containerization technologies.
- Set architectural standards and act as a technical force multiplier for the team.
- Mentor team members and lead DevSecOps initiatives.
Requirements
- 7+ years of professional experience in software development and DevOps.
- Proven background in containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) and cloud infrastructure (Azure preferred).
- Experience with Java, Spring Boot, Vue.js, PostgreSQL, and GitLab CI.
- Strong coding expertise paired with hands-on DevSecOps experience.
