Senior Developer

About the role

This role will be onsite at our Easton office in Columbus, OH (or Dallas/Houston/Austin TX, Detroit MI, or Chicago, IL) - preferred candidates in CST or EST. The successful candidate will design, develop, integrate, and support Workflow/Case Solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Java/J2EE–based applications and batch processes, as required.
• Develop and support UI components and client‑side functionality using JavaScript and Dojo.
• Write, optimize, and troubleshoot database queries to support application functionality and performance.
• Design and develop RESTful APIs to support application integration and modernization initiatives.
• Integrate applications with backend systems and enterprise platforms.
• Participate in requirements analysis, design discussions, and technical solutioning.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues across development and production environments.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including business analysts, QA, and infrastructure teams.
• Adhere to established coding standards, security practices, and SDLC processes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree or 4+ additional years of equivalent experience. 3-5+ years of related experience in Java/J2EE development.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong experience in REST API design and development
• Proficiency in JavaScript
• Experience with Dojo framework
• Hands‑on experience with SQL and database query development.
• Strong understanding of object‑oriented programming and design principles
• Preferred exposure to IBM FileNet Content Management (CPE, workflows, integrations, IBM Case Manager or IBM BAW)
• Familiarity with WebSphere Application Server or similar middleware platforms
• Experience working in Agile or DevOps environments
• Experience working in enterprise application environments
• Ability to work independently and multitask within a collaborative work environment
• Willingness and aptitude for continuous improvement
• Do the right thing attitude while being a strong team player
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, focus on customer service

Pay

The compensation range for this position is $57,000 - $113,000 Annual Salary. Actual compensation will vary based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and education. Colleagues in this position are also eligible to participate in an applicable incentive compensation plan.

Schedule

Certain positions outside our branch network may be eligible for a flexible work arrangement, combining the best of both worlds: in-office and work from home.
