Senior Developer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Developer responsible for designing, developing, enhancing, and maintaining software applications while ensuring delivery within established time, quality, and cost standards. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and experience supporting both development and production environments. This role requires close collaboration with clients, business stakeholders, and internal teams to deliver high-quality solutions while mentoring junior developers and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. This role requires on-site presence in Plano, TX or San Antonio, TX.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance application features based on business and client requirements.
• Troubleshoot production issues, resolve bugs, and address ad-hoc support requests in a timely manner.
• Design, develop, test, and implement new functionalities and enhancements.
• Provide day-to-day application support, including monitoring, incident resolution, and performance optimization.
• Collaborate with clients, business users, and internal teams to gather, analyze, and understand requirements.
• Ensure timely delivery of assigned tasks while adhering to quality standards and project timelines.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, process documentation, and project artifacts required for CMMI and client compliance.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
• Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and knowledge sharing to junior developers.
• Support testing, deployment, and release management activities.
• Analyze and resolve complex technical issues and provide recommendations for improvements.
• Communicate project status, risks, and technical updates to stakeholders and project teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in software development, maintenance, and application support.
• Strong programming and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience working across the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Ability to analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Experience with debugging, performance tuning, and issue resolution.
• Strong understanding of coding standards, quality processes, and software development best practices.
• Experience creating technical and project documentation.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working with Agile or similar development methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience leading development activities and mentoring junior team members.
• Knowledge of CMMI processes and compliance documentation.
• Experience with client-facing support and stakeholder management.
• Experience with application monitoring and production support.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and version control systems.
• Experience working on large-scale enterprise applications.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms and modern application architectures.
• Relevant technical certifications are a plus.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.

Pay

A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their work location, skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies.
