Compensation: $158,400 - $161,600 per year

About the role

This role involves providing user-centered design and oversight for complex products across various digital and analog touchpoints. You will join the Social, Healthcare and Public Entities (SHaPE) Tech team, focusing on creating intuitive interfaces that enhance user engagement. The position requires collaboration with product managers, designers, and developers to drive innovative digital solutions. You will also mentor other designers and contribute to the advancement of design practices within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Provide user-centered design and oversight for complex products across digital and analog touchpoints.
  • Create simple, intuitive, and attractive interfaces that engage users and meet business requirements.
  • Advise product teams on how design decisions shape product vision and user experience.
  • Design and execute qualitative and quantitative research programs to inform product strategy.
  • Create professional-quality deliverables that communicate UX strategy and design rationale.
  • Partner closely with product managers, consultants, designers, and developers to create innovative digital solutions.
  • Oversee and mentor UI/UX designers through key steps of the design process.
  • Lead internal initiatives that advance the Design discipline in alignment with the practice vision.

Requirements

  • Degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience in information science, human-computer interaction, or interface design.
  • 5+ years of relevant UX/UI, product design, or related experience.
  • Experience planning and conducting qualitative and quantitative user research across the product development lifecycle.
  • Ability to shape product strategy and vision, then translate it into actionable design solutions.
  • Proficiency with modern design, prototyping, research, and collaboration tools such as Figma, Sketch, and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Strong command of UX methods and deliverables, including design thinking and user flows.
  • Familiarity with Agile and Lean methodologies and foundational web technologies such as HTML and CSS.
  • Willingness to travel and co-locate as needed.
