Senior Designer - Multifamily | Mixed-use

Position Overview

We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Designer to join our dynamic team, specializing in multifamily and mixed-use developments. The ideal candidate will have a passion for design and a strong understanding of the complexities involved in affordable housing and student housing projects. The Senior Designer will play a crucial role in leading design initiatives, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring that projects are executed to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design process for multifamily and mixed-use projects from concept to completion.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to develop innovative design solutions.
• Utilize BIM and Revit software to create detailed models and drawings for projects.
• Ensure that designs meet client requirements, building codes, and sustainability standards.
• Mentor junior designers and provide guidance on design best practices.
• Conduct site assessments and participate in client meetings to understand project goals and constraints.
• Stay updated on industry trends and technologies to incorporate into design practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Design, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a designer in multifamily and mixed-use projects.
• Proficient in BIM and Revit software.
• Strong portfolio showcasing previous work in affordable housing and student housing.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Able to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively.
• Knowledge of building codes and regulations related to multifamily housing.
