About the role
We're seeking a Senior Designer to join our growing Mexico City creative team. This role calls for a designer who is equal parts conceptual thinker and expert craftsperson—someone who thrives in a fast-paced studio environment and brings strong creative instincts to every project.
What You'll Do
- Design Execution & Creative Leadership
- Concept and design innovative, compelling creative across digital, print, experiential, social, and brand platforms.
- Lead the visual development of branded content, campaigns, and experiences from concept through final execution.
- Translate strategic insights into thoughtful and visually engaging creative solutions.
- Collaborate closely with strategists, copywriters, producers, and creative leadership to bring ideas to life.
- Adapt design systems and creative approaches across a variety of industries, brands, and audiences while maintaining a high level of craft and consistency.
- Present design rationale and creative thinking internally and to clients when appropriate.
- Collaboration & Cross-Functional Support
- Partner with the New Business team to create pitch decks, mockups, visual narratives, and presentation materials that help win new work.
- Lead and support project teams across multiple clients and workstreams.
- Participate actively in creative reviews, brainstorms, critiques, and team discussions.
- Design and format visually compelling presentations aligned with both MATTE and client brand standards.
- Ensure all deliverables are production-ready and organized according to studio best practices.
- Mentor and support more junior designers through collaboration, feedback, and example-setting.
Qualifications
- 5–7 years of professional design experience within an agency, creative studio, or brand environment.
- A portfolio demonstrating strong conceptual thinking, visual excellence, and execution across branding, digital, print, campaigns, and experiential work.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Figma.
- A strong understanding of typography, layout, visual systems, color theory, and art direction.
- The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions clearly.
- Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary creative teams.
- Currently based in Mexico City (CDMX).
- Motion design, animation, AI-assisted creative workflows, or 3D experience are considered a plus.
Pay
MXN $850,000–$1,050,000 gross annual salary, depending on experience, portfolio quality, and overall qualifications.
