About the role

Corgan is seeking a senior level designer with experience and passion for visual storytelling through graphic communication in the built environment. The ideal candidate will join a collaborative team of creatives and contribute to the design, documentation, and implementation of experiential graphic design features.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams of architects, interior designers, and consultants as well as clients to deliver projects across various sectors including Office, Multifamily, Aviation, Education, Data Centers, etc.
  • Provide technical expertise and creative leadership across multiple projects that touch a variety of sectors.
  • Design concept support and development, ideally using 3D modeling or other software tools.
  • Guide the design team in the practical and real-world buildability of concepts.
  • Review and redline designs, documentation, and production art generated by junior staff members (QA/QC, detail-oriented).
  • Assist in punch walks and site observation during installation and review shop drawings/submittals.
  • Coordinate directly with vendors, contractors, and trade partners.
  • Clearly communicate with Project Managers and Directors throughout the duration of projects.
  • Identify opportunities to train and grow junior staff.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in visual communication/graphic design, interior design, architecture, environmental design, industrial design, experiential design or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in Environmental/Experiential Graphic Design or Fabrication.
  • Strong portfolio of work featuring signage, branded environments, donor recognition, identity development, and/or digital design for the built environment.
  • Knowledge in wayfinding strategies and signage programming.
  • SEGD membership/involvement a huge plus.
  • Familiarity with architectural construction documents, scales, sections, plans and elevations.
  • Exceptional knowledge of the Adobe Suite software to produce design intent packages for bid/fabrication; experience in other 3D modeling and visualization software (such as Revit) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Teams, PowerPoint, Excel, Word is required.
  • Knowledge of and experience with construction materials and production methods.
  • Outstanding and comprehensive attention to detail from design elements to file structures.
  • Collaborative and professional work ethic and a motivation to grow.
  • A flexible attitude, strong organizational skills, effective communication skills, confident presentation abilities, and willingness to consistently juggle multiple deadlines.

Pay

The pay for this position is competitive and commensurate with experience.

Schedule

This position is designated as full-time on-site and requires the employee to be physically present at the assigned office location Monday through Friday during standard business hours. Regular, reliable on-site attendance is an essential function of this role.
