About the role
Priority Designs seeks a Senior Design Researcher / Senior User Experience Researcher to lead user-centered research programs, mentor junior team members, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance the overall user experience.
Responsibilities
- Leads/manages major proposals or major sections of large proposals, including those outside the specialized technical discipline.
- Maintains ongoing business development efforts and leads in identifying, cultivating, and capturing business opportunities through new and existing client relationships.
- Develops research plans and discussion guides while incorporating internal and external stakeholder feedback.
- Analyzes research results, compiles data, and converts findings into actionable insights.
- Presents research results to clients.
- Manages recruiters and communicates with clients regarding project progress, scope, and status.
- Clears technical writing skills and seeks opportunities to visually communicate data.
- Represents PD’s technical competency regarding research and ultimately responsible for the quality of work and deliverables produced for user research projects.
- Responsible for making project decisions in the best interest of the client and PD regarding project scope, team needs, and expenses with minimal input required from other staff.
- Provides strong mentoring, technical guidance, and oversight to all other research staff.
- Helps regulate the workload of others with a focus on staff development opportunities for all team members.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in user-centered research program such as: Design Research, Human Computer Interaction, Human Factors Psychology, Behavioral Science, Cognitive Science or similar field.
- Master’s degree or higher education is a plus.
- 7+ years of relevant work experience.
- Experience leading the execution of user research programs.
- Ability to travel to client sites or other locations as required for project work.
- Ability to sit/stand for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 15 pounds.
