Senior Design Engineer - Natural Gas Design
About the role
Join our dedicated team as a Senior Design Engineer, where you will support and lead natural gas infrastructure projects within our expanding Gas Programs team. ENTRUST Solutions Group is an industry leader in engineering consulting, known for its growing gas utility presence and delivery of high‑quality, community‑impacting infrastructure solutions. In this role, you will be at the forefront of natural gas distribution design and project oversight, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient execution across the full project lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with project engineers, designers, municipalities, and utility stakeholders to deliver high‑quality engineering solutions for natural gas distribution projects
- Review public improvement plans, prepare engineering designs, perform calculations, design pipeline routes, and develop construction estimates
- Coordinate with government agencies such as local municipalities and provide field support as needed
- Supervise select projects from planning through execution
- Conduct peer reviews, mentor junior engineers, and facilitate internal and external communication
- Support schedules and project coordination efforts
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited institution
- 2 – 4 years of relevant experience supporting natural gas utility projects
- Ability to travel for occasional project visits and maintain a valid driver's license without restrictions
Preferred Qualifications
- Registration as an Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT)
