Design Engineer - Natural Gas Design

About the role

Are you ready to join a growing engineering consulting firm with a strong gas utility team supporting clients across multiple industries? ENTRUST Solutions Group, a Leidos company, is expanding and seeking talented engineers to support high-pressure gas distribution and transmission projects. Our Gas Programs team is at the forefront of utility infrastructure, working on a variety of gas distribution and transmission projects. As a Design Engineer, you’ll be part of a multidisciplinary team, collaborating closely with project engineers and designers to deliver high-quality engineering solutions. This position offers hybrid work flexibility, including site visits and in-person meetings in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering calculations
• Design pipeline routes
• Develop construction estimates
• Collaborate with project engineers and designers
• Deliver high-quality engineering solutions

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in civil, mechanical, chemical, or petroleum engineering from an ABET accredited institution
• Valid driver's license without restrictions for occasional project visits

Qualifications

• 0-4 years of natural gas engineering experience, preferably at an engineering consulting firm
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, MicroStation or other 2D and 3D modeling software (drafting will likely not be part of your role, but experience with the software our drafters and designers use is still very valuable)

Pay

This position pays between $68,000 and $75,000 annually and is an exempt position. The specific amount within this range will be influenced by the work location and various factors such as internal equity, professional skills, work experience, and pertinent education or training.
