Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic, passionate, and self-driven individual to lead design and planning efforts for senior living projects of varying scope and complexity.

About the Role

This is a strategic role for someone seeking both personal growth and professional agency. The position is within one of our three Wisconsin offices – Milwaukee, Madison or Green Bay.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a client liaison for projects, leading them through our purpose-driven design approach.
  • Collaborate with clients and project teams to craft meaningful places for aging.
  • Lead continuous learning and knowledge sharing across all roles and levels within the firm.
  • Contribute to market-based thought leadership and client retention.
  • Seek growth opportunities and market influences that may impact our clients and project design strategies.

Requirements

  • Licensed architect with 10+ years of relevant work experience in senior living planning, architectural design and unit design.
  • Versatility beyond planning a bonus – whether design, implementation or project management.
  • No other staff report directly to this position, this position reports to the Living Environments Studio Director.
  • Strong narrative skills with the ability to confidently guide design and planning efforts with clients, consultants and internal teams.
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills with a high standard in written, graphic and oral communication.
  • Exhibit a working knowledge of senior living operations, finance and regulations that influence planning and design solutions.
  • Knowledge and experience with Revit, SketchUp and related software is preferred.
  • Hold exceptional organization skills and work independently, solving problems proactively and prioritizing assignments.
  • Exhibit a positive attitude with a desire to actively contribute to the firm's culture.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Architecture or related field.
  • Experience across master planning, repositioning, renovation and new construction is preferred.
  • Broad market perspectives and finer details to craft purpose-driven environments for aging.
  • Leadership and mentorship skills to elevate those around them.

  • Excellent technical and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients, consultants, and internal teams.
  • Proficiency in Revit, SketchUp and related software.

Benefits

The salary range for this position is $110,000 to $135,000 based on skills and experience.

Schedule

Work is performed five days a week with a minimum of four days per week physically present in office.
