Senior Database Administrator
About the role
We are seeking 4 Senior Database Administrators (DBAs) to support a large-scale Encryption in Transit (EIT) initiative across multiple database platforms. We require coverage for the following platforms: Oracle DBA (2 positions), Microsoft SQL Server DBA (1 position), PostgreSQL DBA (1 position), and DB2.
Responsibilities
- Assess, design, and implement Encryption in Transit (TLS/SSL) solutions for assigned database platforms.
- Work closely with application owners, infrastructure teams, and support teams to plan and coordinate implementation activities.
- Validate secure connectivity, ports, certificates, and encryption configurations.
- Troubleshoot connectivity and performance issues related to encrypted database communications.
- Develop implementation and validation procedures while ensuring minimal application disruption.
- Support testing, cutover planning, and production deployment activities.
Requirements
- Senior-level DBA experience with Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and/or DB2.
- Hands-on experience implementing and supporting database encryption in transit.
- Strong understanding of SSL/TLS, certificates, secure ports, and database connectivity.
- Ability to independently coordinate with application teams and manage implementation schedules.
- Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
Nice-to-Have
- At least one candidate should possess strong multi-platform DBA expertise across Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and preferably DB2 to provide cross-platform guidance throughout the project.
