Senior Data / Software Engineer / Python / Hybrid Smyrna, GA

Key Responsibilities

• Own the architecture, development, and long-term technical direction of the company's core data analytics platform
• Design, build, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines that process large volumes of real estate, mortgage, and title transaction data
• Develop and enhance backend applications and services using Python
• Design and optimize data warehousing solutions, database performance, and data models within PostgreSQL environments
• Build and maintain scalable event-driven data pipelines utilizing Kafka and cloud-native infrastructure
• Collaborate closely with the CTO and business stakeholders to translate analytical requirements into scalable technical solutions

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Software Engineering, or a hybrid Data/Software Engineering role
• Strong Python development experience with the ability to design and maintain production-grade applications
• Extensive experience building ETL/ELT pipelines and modern data processing workflows
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and data warehousing concepts
• Experience working with Kafka or similar streaming/event-driven technologies
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes and AWS cloud services
• Experience designing scalable data architectures and making technical decisions independently
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work through complex data challenges
• Comfortable operating in a highly visible ownership role with significant autonomy and accountability
• Excellent communication skills and the confidence to challenge ideas, provide feedback, and collaborate directly with executive leadership
