Senior Data Scientist - Healthcare

Core Responsibilities

  • Formulate relevant research and analytical approaches based on program objectives and client challenges.
  • Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of innovation programs and individual health care projects.
  • Design methods for collecting and analyzing data on KPIs and recommend target goals for expected outcomes.
  • Generate high-quality reports, presentations, and dashboards to convey findings and strategic recommendations across multiple health care innovation programs.
  • Develop and maintain key client relationships—managing meeting invites, tracking meeting actions, facilitating presentations, and delivering client recommendations.
  • Serve as a thought leader by writing articles, participating in webinars, speaking at industry events, and participating in business development.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field, such as computer science, engineering, physics, statistics or applied mathematics.
  • 5+ years of professional experience as a data analyst or data scientist.
  • Experience with data cleaning, analysis, visualization, and mining techniques.
  • Expertise with Power BI dashboarding.
  • Experience working with large data sets and relational databases.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills—comfortable interacting collaboratively and frequently with a wide range of clients, including senior executive leadership.
  • Entrepreneurial Spirit—proactively identifying new opportunities for both the client and the firm.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or PhD in a quantitative field, such as computer science, engineering, physics, statistics or applied mathematics.
  • Experience supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs
