Senior Data Analyst (Business Analysis & Integrated Eligibility)

Contract position in Austin, TX.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Analyst with a strong background in business analysis, data analysis, and Integrated Eligibility systems. The ideal candidate will collaborate with business and technical teams to gather requirements, analyze complex data, improve data quality, and deliver actionable insights through dashboards and reporting. This role requires expertise throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), from requirements gathering through implementation.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements.
• Conduct Joint Application Development (JAD) sessions and facilitate requirement workshops.
• Perform business process analysis and document functional and data requirements.
• Develop and execute complex SQL queries, joins, and data validation scripts.
• Analyze data quality and identify data inconsistencies and improvement opportunities.
• Design dashboards, KPIs, and performance metrics to support business decision-making.
• Support all phases of the SDLC, including requirements, design, testing, implementation, and production support.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable technology solutions.
• Prepare documentation, reports, and analytical findings for stakeholders.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in IT supporting technology solution delivery.
• 8+ years of experience with Integrated Eligibility systems and full SDLC.
• 8+ years of business analysis and data analysis experience.
• Experience conducting JAD sessions and documenting business processes.
• Strong SQL skills with experience writing complex queries and joins.
• Experience performing data quality analysis and data validation.
• Experience designing dashboards, KPIs, and business performance measures.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with the Texas Integrated Eligibility Redesign System (TIERS).
• Experience working in public sector or government environments.
