Senior D365 Technical Architect

About the role

A Senior Dynamics 365 CE / Power Platform Technical Architect is needed to restore technical leadership in a complex California state migration from Pega to D365 CE. The previous architect had strong technical skills but took on responsibilities of functional and QA teams, leading to quality and handover issues.

Responsibilities

• Owning technical design and delivery quality across Dynamics 365 CE, Power Platform, and custom portal/application components
• Partnering with the India technical lead and US delivery team
• Validating user stories and acceptance criteria before development
• Establishing technical standards
• Spotting incomplete, broken, or unsafe requirements or workflows for migration
• Challenging weak requirements, making clear technical decisions, and guiding functional, QA, and development teams
• Providing strong customer-facing consulting judgement due to the politically sensitive nature of the program involving a California state client

Requirements

• Senior, hands-on experience with Dynamics 365 CE / CRM and Power Platform architecture
• Deep understanding of custom D365 applications, portals, workflows, data models, security, and integrations
• Large-scale migration or complex custom application delivery experience
• Ability to govern technical requirements and offshore development handovers
• Strong technical quality judgment and cross-functional leadership skills
• Consulting/client-facing maturity

Qualifications

• Not suitable for D365 Finance & Operations / ERP-only architects
• Enterprise architects who primarily produce documentation and do not work with delivery artifacts
• Developers who have not led solution design or cross-functional technical governance
