Senior Technical Architect
About the role
Salesforce is seeking a Senior Technical Architect to serve as a strategic advisor and Salesforce product and platform expert to the company’s largest, most complex enterprise customers. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of enterprise architecture or consulting experience, 4+ years of experience leading Salesforce Core Projects, strong application design skills, and excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted advisor to the client
- Identify and lead internal strategic initiatives to grow the consulting practice
- Guide customers and colleagues in rationalizing and deploying emerging technologies
- Work collaboratively and have strong communications skills, especially in teaching complex concepts
- Manage customer expectations and negotiate solutions to complex problems
- Review and correct project/program direction, approach, and key artifacts
- Contribute to a program vision while advising and articulating program/project strategies on enabling technologies including the Salesforce Platform
Requirements
- Minimum 8+ years enterprise architecture or consulting experience
- 4+ years of experience leading Salesforce Core Projects
- Strong application design skills combined with strong data, integration, and security architecture skills
- Strong presentation skills, able to effectively present and defend a point of view to a variety of audiences
- Detail-oriented individual with the ability to rapidly learn and take advantage of new concepts, business models, and technologies
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, able to explain the area of expertise clearly and confidently to others
- Able to listen and communicate with people in diverse roles
- Prominent experience analyzing, designing, and optimizing business processes via technology and integration
- Resourceful and innovative thinker who can work through and solve problems
- Strong experience in Integration concepts, designs and patterns
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering (any field), or a related quantitative discipline
- Equivalent demonstrable work experience in lieu of a degree will be considered
- Application design and development background
- Travel may be required and varies depending on the client requirements
- Strong Enterprise Architecture background would be favorable
- Salesforce Certified Technical Architect (CTA) or multiple Salesforce Architecture certifications
- Experience in Consumer Goods Cloud, Consumer Goods Retail Execution / Trade Promotion Management, and general Consumer Goods industry is a plus

- Leadership: Self-aware; proficient at building strong relationships
- Thought Leader: Strong point of view and executive presence; confident, but not arrogant; a great storyteller
- Experience with AI-powered development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Agentforce for Developers)
- Experience leading a technical team or workstream, with a passion for mentoring and developing talent
- Ability to build and maintain key relationships with C-level executives, senior technology leaders, and key decision-makers
- Experience defining and delivering enterprise applications on the Salesforce Platform is a strong plus

Pay
The typical base salary range for this position is $172,500 - $260,100 annually. Specific ranges for job locations can be shared by your recruiter during the hiring process. In California and New York, and select cities in the metropolitan areas of Boston, Chicago, Seattle, and Washington DC, the base pay range for this role in those locations is $207,800 - $285,800 per year.
