Senior Cyber Program Manager

About the role

Capital One’s Cyber Execution and Transformation team is seeking a Senior Cyber Program Manager to lead change and deliver cyber capabilities such as AI, Data Protection, Cyber Operations, Security Information and Event Management, Cloud Security, and Cyber Governance and Risk. The role involves influencing at all levels, simplifying complex technical concepts, and collaborating across product, engineering, design, and data science teams. There is also an opportunity to lead a team of program managers.

Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree.
• At least 6 years of experience in program management.
• At least 3 years of people management experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree in a related technical (Computer Science, Software Engineering) or Program Management field.
• 5+ years designing and building data‑intensive solutions using distributed computing.
• 3+ years delivering cybersecurity solutions and capabilities.
• 3+ years building distributed systems and highly available services using cloud computing services/architecture (AWS).
• 3+ years experience building highly scalable mobile products and platforms.
• 3+ years experience with Agile delivery.
• 7+ years experience delivering large and complex programs, owning business or technical vision, collaborating with large cross‑functional teams, securing commitments, and unblocking teams to achieve business impact.
• 2+ years experience implementing Cyber Operations technologies.
• 1+ year experience building systems and solutions within a highly regulated environment.
• 1+ year experience working with AI technologies.

Pay

McLean, VA: $177,700 – $202,800 for Sr. Manager, Project Management.
Richmond, VA: $161,500 – $184,300 for Sr. Manager, Project Management.
Candidates hired in other locations will receive the pay range associated with that location, as reflected in the offer letter. This role is also eligible for performance‑based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonuses and/or long‑term incentives.
