Senior Cyber Intelligence Analyst - Weekend Nights
About the role
This position supports GSM-O II Task Number 07 (TN07), which provides support to the DoD Cyber Defense Command (DCDC), formerly JFHQ-DODIN. DCDC offers network operations and defensive cyber operations support to the United States Cyber Command in support of the DoD.
Responsibilities
- Supervise the collection of intelligence on events occurring both internally and externally to Department of Defense networks.
- Oversee all-source intelligence support to DoD Cyber Defense Command (DCDC) operations, Cyber Protection Team (CPT) defensive missions, Command Cyber Readiness Inspections (CCRIs), and Command Cyber Operational Readiness Inspection (CCORIs).
- Enhance situational awareness, situational understanding, and identify possible relationships, trends, and adversary tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) based on threat intelligence information.
- Direct and develop the process of open-source intelligence research in support of threat discovery or research.
- Research, analyze, corroborate, and assess vulnerability information as it relates to intelligence reporting.
- Analyze and track vulnerability disclosure program (VDP) incidents as it relates to intelligence reporting.
- Ensure DoD Cyber Defense Command (DCDC) information provided to foreign entities is compliant with federal statues and restrictions.
Requirements
Active DoD TS/SCI clearance and eligible for C/I Polygraph. Bachelor's degree in a related discipline with 4-8 years of prior relevant education and experience; additional related years of experience is accepted in lieu of a degree. DoDD 8570 IAT Level II Certification (SEC+, CySA, GICSD, etc.). Strong communications and interpersonal skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Proficient in Windows 7/8/10/11. Ability to work in a virtual environment like Microsoft Teams.
Qualifications
Experience with Joint Command / Operations Center environments. Experience with DISA and DoD Networks. Understanding of military orders and the military decision-making process. Demonstrated experience briefing Senior Executive Service (SES) and General Officer/Flag Officer (GO/FO) leadership. Experience in intelligence-driven defense and/or cyber kill chain methodology. IAT Level III or IAM Level II+III certifications.
