Senior Custodian, Day

What You'll Be Doing

• Work independently under limited supervision, providing custodial and specialized cleaning support.
• Respond to customer needs and requests, applying personal judgment and previous experience.
• Respond to campus crises situations to enhance public safety and minimize infrastructure damage.
• Respond to emergency calls and assist with snow and ice removal.
• Work in restricted access areas requiring specialized procedures, training, or certification.

Qualifications

• 18 months of custodial experience with 3 years of total work experience.
• Completed Building Services Custodial Development Program, or enrolled within 90 days of hire.
• Ability to supervise and train small groups (3 - 10).
• Read, write, and speak English; effective communication skills.
• Basic math skills and ability to communicate via a computer.
• Good work organization ability.
• Knowledge of building maintenance and security policies and procedures.
• Working knowledge of power and non-powered floor care equipment.
• Ability to lift and carry 25-50 lbs. frequently, and up to 60 lbs. occasionally.
• Efficient and professional work in a fast-paced and diverse team setting.
• Outdoor work 10% of the time in extreme temperatures.

Education and Training

• High school diploma/GED.
• One year of supervision experience.
• Knowledge of campus buildings and locations.

Schedule and Pay

• Monday-Thursday + Sunday, 5:00 am to 1:30 pm.
• Hourly Pay: $17.50.
