Senior Custodial Lead
About the role
The Senior Custodial Lead is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in assigned areas and providing guidance to custodial staff.
Responsibilities
- Performs janitorial duties according to the daily schedule.
- Provides work direction and assistance to custodians as directed by the Custodial Supervisor.
- Affords assistance in scheduling and training staff as needed.
- Operates motorized cleaning equipment.
- Tracks equipment inventory, maintenance, and repair.
- Schedules cleanups and repairs as necessary.
- Maintains daily upkeep of assigned area.
- Monitors employees for proper use of personal protective equipment and supplies.
- Corrects at-risk behavior and reports to the supervisor immediately.
- Reports incidents and hazardous conditions to the supervisor.
- Reports employee personnel and customer issues to the supervisor.
- Assists in purchasing cleaning supplies and equipment.
- Performs quality, service, and safety inspections.
- Provides recommendations for corrective action on areas needing improvement.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- At least 1 year of related experience preferred.
- CPR/AED/First Aid certification required.
- Valid driver’s license may be required.
- Completed all safety and task training certifications.
- May require forklift certification.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment.
- Knowledge of upkeep and care of cleaning equipment.
- Knowledge of cleaning compounds and chemicals, and their safe, efficient use.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

- Monday-Friday 5:00pm-1:30pm
- $19.00-$20.00 per hour
