Role Overview
The Senior CT Technologist performs advanced computed tomography (CT) scans, ensuring high-quality imaging for patient diagnosis. Key responsibilities include preparing patients, administering contrast materials, operating imaging equipment, and overseeing daily departmental operations. They establish training criteria for new staff, teach CT principles, and assist with interventional procedures. The role involves maintaining equipment, managing supplies, and ensuring compliance with quality standards. In the absence of supervision, they oversee departmental activities and ensure proper documentation and billing. The position requires strong technical skills, leadership, and adherence to safety and quality protocols.
Qualifications & Skills
- Associate's degree or accredited Radiologic Technology certificate
- Minimum 3 years of CT experience
- ARRT (R) and (CT) registration or NMTCB (CT) certification upon hire
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Strong technical, supervisory, and teaching abilities
