About the role

This role supports credit underwriting and monitoring for new and existing clients in partnership with a credit team. Responsibilities include independently managing transactions or portfolios of limited to moderate complexity, completing and reviewing credit analysis, evaluating risks, and writing financial analysis. The role involves leading processes, ensuring timely and accurate analysis, and coaching teammates on credit requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Manages a portfolio of clients supporting underwriting and/or monitoring requirements with limited to moderate complexity.
  • Independently works with Relationship Management and Risk teammates to understand structuring needs and requirements.
  • Delivers financial modeling, loan structure, industry, economic, and other analyses to support loan decision-making.
  • Reviews work of junior teammates to provide feedback/coaching and ensure compliance with laws, rules, regulations, and policy procedures.
  • Has credit approval authority for certain credit actions.
  • Leads loan structure conversations and completion of loan documentation with internal/external legal partners.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of solid experience in Commercial Banking Underwriting (Middle Market, Large Corporate, or Leveraged Finance) performing financial analysis, structuring, and portfolio management.
  • Strong communication and analytical/technical skills, including financial accounting, modeling, and loan structuring.

Desired Qualifications

  • Participate with Relationship Managers or Credit Officers to negotiate Credit Agreements and loan documents, as needed.
  • Knowledgeable of the closing process and timeline for all types of loans (e.g., real estate, revolvers).
  • BA/BS degree.

Schedule

  • 1st shift (United States of America)
  • 40 hours per week

Pay

Pay range: $89,000.00 - $187,500.00 annualized salary. Offers are determined based on experience, education, and skill set. This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary incentive plan.
