Senior Credit Counselor

About the Role

Responsible for being proficient in repossession, bankruptcy, and deceased accounts. Perform collection activities associated with various delinquent member accounts, including Visa credit and debit cards, lines of credit, secured loans, signature loans, real estate loans, home equity lines of credit, negative shares, and returned checks.

Responsibilities

• Review delinquent accounts to determine probable reasons for account status
• Contact members to resolve the delinquencies
• Utilize various techniques, as circumstances indicate, to promptly collect on delinquent accounts
• Ensure that the Credit Union's professional image is maintained

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• One year of phone customer service experience
• Previous collection experience
• Ability to type
• Solid computer skills
• Fluent in Microsoft Office Suite
