Senior Counsel, US Commercial & Medical
About the role
The Senior Counsel, US Commercial & Medical, provides legal guidance on laws and regulations related to the promotion, advertising, and commercialization of biopharmaceutical products. They serve as the legal representative on the promotional review committee for the Brand team, advising on compliance with laws such as the Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act and FDA regulations.
The role involves drafting, negotiating, and reviewing agreements including healthcare professional consulting, vendor, and service contracts. They ensure Brand team activities adhere to applicable laws and company policies, including anti-kickback statutes and healthcare compliance standards.
The position also supports global medical contracts, US grant and sponsorship contracts, and other legal duties as assigned. Based in Princeton, the role reports directly to the Associate General Counsel, US Commercial and Medical.
Responsibilities
- Provide legal guidance on laws and regulations related to the promotion, advertising, and commercialization of biopharmaceutical products.
- Serve as the legal representative on the promotional review committee for the Brand team, advising on compliance with the Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act and FDA regulations.
- Draft, negotiate, and review agreements, including healthcare professional consulting, vendor, and service contracts.
- Ensure Brand team activities adhere to applicable laws and company policies, including anti-kickback statutes and healthcare compliance standards.
