Responsibilities
- Build relationships with Sales and other stakeholders for customer transactions
- Lead the review and negotiation of various commercial agreements including SaaS and NDAs
- Provide pragmatic legal advice to business stakeholders during negotiations
- Develop solutions to complex contractual issues while managing risks effectively
- Proactively address potential legal or operational issues to minimize disputes
- Support the enhancement of contract templates and legal processes through training
- Collaborate with Legal department colleagues to foster a high-performance culture
Qualifications
- Qualified lawyer with 10-15+ years post-qualification experience in a leading law firm or in-house
- Strong background in commercial contracts, specifically in the software or technology sector
- Extensive experience in negotiating complex agreements with customers and partners
- Ability to provide practical, commercially focused legal advice to business stakeholders
- Familiarity with privacy and data protection issues in technology transactions
