Senior Counsel - Commercial Legal

About the role

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Counsel - Commercial Legal to join the team of a leader in the Manufacturing & Automotive space. This role will provide business-aligned guidance focused on governance, compliance, and operational risk management. You will partner with leaders, compliance stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to translate complex issues into practical recommendations. The position offers the opportunity to strengthen responsible execution, improve decision-making, and support sustainable growth within a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Review, draft, and negotiate commercial agreements related to vehicle programs and supply chains
• Respond to legal inquiries from various stakeholders, clarifying complex legal concepts
• Advise cross-functional teams on product liability, regulatory issues, and negotiation strategies
• Support continuous improvement in legal processes and department operations

Qualifications

• JD degree and admitted to local bar in good standing or authorized to practice law
• 10+ years of experience in commercial agreements
• Experience drafting and negotiating vehicle manufacture and supply agreements
• Knowledge in specialist areas such as intellectual property or employment law
• Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills
• Capacity to manage multiple projects under deadline pressure

Compensation: $251,000 – $310,000 annually
