Senior Counsel

About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced attorney to join our Insurance Defense team. The successful candidate will have at least 3-5 years' experience in personal injury matters, with trial experience a plus. This position is full-time and primarily in-person, with the possibility of some remote work in the future.

Responsibilities

• Handle files from receipt of summons and complaint through all phases of discovery.
• Maintain and follow a diary system for all files.
• Conduct depositions.
• Review and analyze medical records.
• Draft and revise timely reports to insurance adjusters and clients.
• Handle court appearances for conferences and motions.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Draft reports, motions, and affirmations in opposition.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in New York State.
• At least 3-5 years of experience in personal injury litigation.
• Experience conducting and defending depositions.
• Experience appearing in court for conferences and motions.
