Senior Counsel

About the role

This is a Senior Counsel position focused on complex, high-exposure litigation. You will handle matters from early strategy through resolution, working closely with leadership on case development, motion practice, and trial preparation. This is an opportunity to work directly with a top-tier, nationally recognized trial attorney on matters that go far beyond standard defense work. • Construction defect
• Insurance defense and coverage
• Employment litigation
• General tort litigation

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage sophisticated litigation matters
• Draft and argue substantive motions, including dispositive motions
• Take and defend depositions
• Prepare cases for trial, including strategy and witness development
• Work closely with clients on high-level legal issues
• Mentor junior attorneys where appropriate

Requirements

• 6+ years of litigation experience
• Strong background in complex civil litigation (defense preferred)
• Exceptional legal writing and analytical skills
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage high-level work product
• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment
• Trial experience or meaningful trial preparation experience is a plus
