About the Role
This position focuses on third-party insurance defense litigation, handling a variety of matters from inception through resolution. Practice exposure includes:
- General liability
- Construction defect
- Premises liability
- Trucking and transportation
- Product liability
- Other civil defense matters
Responsibilities
- Manage a full caseload independently
- Draft pleadings, motions, and legal strategy
- Take and defend depositions
- Attend hearings, mediations, and court appearances
- Communicate directly with clients and carriers
- Prepare cases for trial as needed
Requirements
- 8+ years of civil defense litigation experience
- Experience handling third-party insurance defense matters
- Strong writing, analytical, and organizational skills
- Comfortable managing files independently in a fast-paced environment
- Deposition and motion practice experience required
- Trial experience or interest in trial work is a plus
Pay
$150,000 - $175,000 per year
