About the role

This role puts you in the room with the CEO, shaping how a fast-growing energy company actually operates. Freedom Power is an energy company that combines Freedom Solar and Freedom HVAC to provide comprehensive whole-house energy solutions. The role involves advising the Executive, Sales, Marketing, Residential, and Commercial teams, negotiating agreements that drive revenue, and managing disputes and risks.

Responsibilities

• Own the company’s legal affairs, advising the Executive, Sales, Marketing, Residential, and Commercial teams
• Negotiate agreements that drive revenue
• Manage disputes and risks that come with scaling fast
• Touch every part of the business, from contracts signed to strategy executed

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant legal experience
• Experience in contract negotiation and management
• Strong understanding of energy law and industry regulations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously

Qualifications

• J.D. degree from an accredited law school
• Admitted to practice law in at least one state
• Passion for energy and technology sectors

• Ability to handle complex legal issues and provide strategic advice
• Proficiency in using AI tools for legal analysis and decision-making
