Senior Legal Corporate Contracts/Regulatory/Compliance Counsel General Description and Duties: Provides legal advice and counseling on a broad range of legal issues that arise in privately-held renewable energy asset management and development company, with a goal of enabling the company’s objectives while managing legal and compliance risk.Manage the legal contract review and approval process.Helps manage corporate governance processesDrafts, implements, and manages legal and compliance policies.Trains and educates various functions on legal and compliance issues.From time to time, advises on potential complex business transactions, such as project acquisitions, overseeing outside counsel as necessaryFrom time to time, drafts, negotiates, and interprets various types of commercial contracts, including sales agreements, supply agreements, consulting agreements, and non-disclosure agreements.” Position Qualifications Highly responsive and service-orientedAbility to understand and analyze complex factual and legal issuesStrong attention to detail, combined with the ability to see the big pictureThrives in a fast-paced, demanding, dynamic environmentOutstanding verbal and written communication skillsAbility to prioritize with a risk-based approach and juggle numerous issues at onceSelf-motivated, with an ability to work under own initiative, often under time critical conditionsCan-do, problem-solving attitudeStrong sense of intellectual curiosity Minimum Education: Juris Doctorate degree from accredited U.S. law schoolActive bar membership in good standing Minimum Experience: Experience with contracts and commercial transactions requiredExperience in renewable energy industry a significant plus5+ years of experience as a practicing attorney, preferably with some in-house experience BrainWorks delivers superior talent to elevate business performance.
