Responsibilities
- Providing expert legal counsel to clients on various aspects of business and commercial law.
- Representing clients in commercial litigation and managing all aspects of the litigation process from investigation, pleadings, and discovery to pre-trial, trial, settlement, and appeal.
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex business contracts and agreements.
- Advising clients on legal rights and obligations in business transactions.
- Researching and analyzing the law on complex issues and writing briefs for submission to a supervising attorney.
- Conducting due diligence in business transactions and advising clients on potential legal risks.
- Staying updated on current business laws and regulations and informing clients about any changes that might affect their business operations.
- Developing strategies to manage legal risks and ensuring that our clients' business practices, policies, and dealings meet all relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- A Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- A valid California Bar License.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as an associate attorney, with a focus on business and commercial law.
- Proven experience in commercial litigation and business transactions.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to interpret and draft complex legal documents.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and managing legal risks.
- Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal issues in clear, accessible language.
- A high level of professionalism and adherence to strict ethical standards.
- The ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- A commitment to staying updated on current business laws and regulations and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
