About the role
Senior Corporate Counsel is a member of the Legal Department who provides practical, business-focused counsel across a broad range of corporate, commercial, and compliance matters. This role partners closely with internal stakeholders to support key transactions and initiatives, manage legal risk, and help ensure the Company’s policies, processes, and operations align with applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Research, analyze, and provide practical legal advice to business partners on complex matters supporting the Company’s operations and strategic initiatives, and deliver day-to-day counsel to help identify and manage legal risk while driving timely, actionable solutions.
- Manage outside counsel, counterparties, and other third parties as needed.
- Manage general corporate matters and related business processes, including legal entity management and contracting support (intercompany agreements, commercial contracts, and other strategic transaction documents), as well as corporate and policy governance and compliance program administration in partnership with internal stakeholders.
- Monitor and advise on evolving laws and regulations impacting the business, assess applicability and compliance risk, and partner with internal stakeholders to implement practical policies, processes, and training to support ongoing compliance, including with environmental, employment, and privacy laws.
- Provide legal support on employment-related matters, including hiring, separations, compensation and incentive programs, employment policies, and other employment-related requests.
- Provide legal review and guidance on marketing, advertising, and external communications, including third-party requests and public relations materials, to ensure alignment with legal, regulatory, and brand standards.
- Periodically assist with diverse, high-demand legal projects outside normal areas of focus.
Requirements
- J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school with strong academic credentials.
- 5+ years of experience practicing law, with a focus on general corporate matters, legal compliance, and risk management, plus demonstrated experience or interest in employment and dispute/litigation matters.
