Senior Copywriter

Responsibilities

• Execute Big ATL & Integrated Work: Partner on the concepting and execution of groundbreaking, full-funnel integrated campaigns with a massive emphasis on top-tier broadcast, digital, and out-of-home media.
• Champion Social-First Thinking: Infuse every campaign with native social media DNA. We don't just adapt TV spots for social platforms; we want you to invent voice and narrative formats that stop the scroll and drive cultural conversation.
• Collaboration Dynamic: Partner seamlessly with art direction counterparts to co-create projects from initial brief through production, ensuring tight visual and verbal synergy.
• Redefine Brand Boundaries: Honor the foundational principles of the Verizon brand while constantly finding fresh, daring ways to evolve its verbal identity and brand voice.
• Articulate Your Vision: Confidently present, defend, and articulate your copy choices and narrative strategies to internal creative directors and cross-functional stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or four or more years of work experience.
• Four or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through work and/or military experience.
• Five or more years of experience within top-tier advertising agencies or world-class in-house creative teams, with a standout portfolio showcasing strong ATL and integrated work.
• Experience working with major, recognizable brands.
• You know how to write creatively within established brand guidelines while maintaining the agility of a startup.
• A deep, uncompromising passion for storytelling, scriptwriting, voice development, and conceptual copy execution. You know what resonates, and more importantly, why it works.
• Direct experience participating in commercial shoots, directing voiceover talent, and collaborating throughout the post-production workflow to bring the script to life.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of experience within top-tier advertising agencies or world-class in-house creative teams, with a standout portfolio showcasing strong ATL and integrated work.

Pay

The annual salary range for the New York location(s) listed on this job requisition based on a full-time schedule is: $91,500.00 - $159,000.00. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more.
