About the role

Feed More collects, prepares, and distributes food to neighbors in need across 34 cities and counties. Our comprehensive programs and Agency Network provide quality food and healthy meals year-round. Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning and execution of mobile distribution events, including emergency response efforts and Feed More Freddie events.
  • Manage logistics and volunteers during mobile distribution events, ensuring safety, efficiency, and responsiveness to community needs.
  • Support logistics coordination across departments, including transportation, inventory, volunteer services, and communications.
  • Serve as the primary relationship manager for mobile distribution hosts and community partners, building trust-based partnerships and ensuring compliance.
  • Engage with the community, fostering an environment that is welcoming, respectful, and centered on dignity.
  • Identify new distribution sites based on community need, access barriers, and service gaps.
  • Provide direct, on-site leadership to volunteers, training them on distribution procedures, safety protocols, and best practices.
  • Ensure all distributions adhere to Feed More and Feeding America standards for food safety, neighbor safety, and operational compliance.
  • Monitor site performance and recommend adjustments to scheduling, format, or partner engagement as needed.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align mobile distributions with broader organizational priorities, including food sourcing, outreach, and resources.
  • Support emergency response distributions, scaling operations in times of crisis.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma
  • 3+ years experience managing community-based programs, events, or partnerships in dynamic environments
  • Strong organizational and operational skills, able to manage multiple moving pieces simultaneously
  • Demonstrated ability to lead in the field, make sound decisions under pressure, and adapt to changing conditions
  • Skilled in building relationships while upholding clear expectations and standards
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to engage effectively with people from diverse backgrounds and lived experiences
  • Experience with or willingness to learn de-escalation techniques
  • Comfort using technology and data systems to support scheduling, reporting, and program evaluation
  • Commitment to Feed More’s mission and values, including advancing equitable access to food

Qualifications

  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel throughout the service area using a personal vehicle
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and occasional on-call hours, particularly during emergency response situations
  • Ability to work outdoors for extended periods in varying weather conditions
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move items up to 40 pounds
