The Kansas City Current are seeking a Senior Coordinator, Content who is a skilled communicator who can write social media copy, create multimedia social content, is experienced in social media publishing, and can support in the ideation and execution of an engagement-driving social media and content calendar. The Senior Coordinator, Content will support the Manager, Content and the Vice President, Content and Creative in the success and growth of the KC Current brand and Long Sports and Entertainment business entities across various digital platforms. What will you do? Content Creation Collaborate with the Manager, Content on KC Current, CPKC Stadium, Current Landing and other Long Sports & Entertainment social media accounts, including Twitter, Instagram, Bluesky, Threads, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube and LinkedIn Develop content for social media publishing to support the achievement of key metrics and goalsCreate content consistent with the brand voice that aligns with organizational goals and content strategy ensuring accuracy across copy, creative assets, links, tags and partner requirements. Support internal departments by creating and publishing PR, marketing, and social media content related to the club, CPKC Stadium, Current Landing and other LSE Properties as assignedCoordinate with corporate partnerships, ticket, retail and community relations teams for content capture and social posts supporting their effortsAssist with live coverage of matches and events, including real-time publishing, community management, and content gathering.Participate in the development of content that supports LSE properties delivering high-engaging content to meet the contractual deliverables for Corporate Partners.Maintain an understanding of platform best practices and recommend opportunities to improve content performance. Content Management Assist in maintenance and organization of the content libraries (photos, videos, graphics, and other creative assets) for KC Current, CPKC Stadium, Current Landing and other LSE properties.Monitor social channels and engage with fans, partners, and community members in alignment with the brand voice.Assist in keeping the social calendar up to date, creating copy for content and coordinating asset development needed to execute posts on the calendarOther duties as assignedLimited travel may be required to support away matches, special events, content capture opportunities, and other organizational initiatives. Community Management Monitor comments, mentions, direct messages and fan conversations across social platforms and identify opportunities for LSE properties to engage or create additional storytelling streamsEngage with content/comments as directed by the Manager, Content using the brand’s voice to drive engagement and Community growthHelp identify emerging conversations and fan sentiment that may present opportunities or risk for the organization and escalate to the Manager, Content Reporting & Optimization Track social media performance and assist with weekly, monthly and campaign reportingMonitor key metrics and provide recommendations for improvementIdentify emerging trends in social media conversations, as well as platform tools & management and translate them into actionable recommendations for future content What do you need to succeed? Required Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Digital Media or related fieldThree or more years of experience in content management with a high impact organization, preferably sportsPortfolio demonstrating published social media content, copywriting, digital storytelling, or campaign execution is required.Knowledge of SEO, AEO, keyword research, Google Analytics, Zoomph and social media analyticsKnowledge of Photoshop / InDesign / Premier Experience with Twitter, Instagram, Bluesky, Threads, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube and LinkedInDemonstrated ability to write compelling, brand-aligned social media copy across multiple platforms.Exceptional attention to detail, proofreading, and organizational skills while operating in a fast-paced live environmentSoccer knowledge or interest preferredExperience in sports, entertainment, or live-event environments preferredKnowledge of women's sports preferred Special Requirements Of The Job Must be able to work a flexible schedule, inclusive of weekends, nights (event evenings & overnight operation shifts) and holidays.Ability to monitor company communications and respond to time-sensitive matters with senior executives. Must be able to stand, walk, and move around the venue for extended periods of time, often during events or facility setup and breakdown.Requires occasional bending, squatting, and reaching overhead to handle various tasks related to facility management, equipment, and event preparation.Must be capable of working in physically demanding environments, including navigating stairs, ramps, and elevated platforms during venue conversions.Ability to work outdoors continuously for extended periods of time in all weather conditions We value diversity and seek world-class employees of all backgrounds.
