Senior Control Engineer (Site Support)

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of industrial control systems supporting critical infrastructure and process operations
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to controls engineering teams
- Develop system architectures, functional design specifications, and detailed control strategies
- Design and support automation systems for: Heat tracing systems, Pump control systems, Valve automation systems, Process monitoring and control applications
- Program, configure, and troubleshoot: PLC systems, DCS systems, SCADA platforms, HMI development
- Create control system bill of materials (BOMs), commissioning scripts, and testing procedures
- Conduct site walkdowns, simulations, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), and field commissioning activities
- Troubleshoot existing control systems and implement performance improvements
- Support startup, operational readiness, and system turnover activities
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering, operations, and construction teams throughout project execution
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
- 7+ years of experience designing, programming, and commissioning industrial control systems
- Strong expertise with: PLC platforms, DCS systems, SCADA applications, HMI development, industrial networking technologies
- Experience developing control systems for process, industrial, manufacturing, energy, or mission-critical environments
- Proficiency with: Ladder Logic programming, Function Block programming, Structured control logic development
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic capabilities
- Excellent communication, leadership, and mentoring skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and support complex project environments
- Willingness to travel to project sites as required
Qualifications
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Experience managing large-scale automation or controls projects
- Hands-on experience with platforms such as: Rockwell Automation, Siemens, Emerson, Thermon
- Experience supporting liquid cooling systems, thermal management infrastructure, or mission-critical facilities
- Familiarity with industrial cybersecurity principles and secure controls architecture
- Knowledge of applicable industry codes, standards, and best practices
- Experience with Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), and commissioning programs
- Familiarity with emerging automation, analytics, and monitoring technologies
