Senior Contract Manager, Managed Care
About the role
The Senior Contract Manager plays a key role in shaping and managing MedStar Health's relationships with managed care payers. This position supports contract negotiations, reimbursement strategy, market analysis, and payer performance initiatives while collaborating with clinical, operational, and financial leaders across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Supports contract negotiations and reimbursement strategy
- Conducts market analysis and payer performance initiatives
- Collaborates with clinical, operational, and financial leaders
- Drives the successful implementation of payer agreements
- Identifies opportunities to enhance reimbursement, operational efficiency, and long-term growth
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Hospital Administration, or related clinical field
- MBA MHS or other graduate degree with a health care concentration preferred
- 3-4 years Healthcare experience
- 1-2 years Managed care payer experience
- Experience in healthcare reimbursement and CPT and ICD coding
- Knowledge of the clinical delivery setting, healthcare insurance regulatory setting, and provider contracting arrangements
