Senior Content Designer, Cash
About the role
At Wealthfront, we are seeking a Senior Content Designer to join the money movement team within our Cash product—our much-loved high-yield savings and checking experience. Cash is the hub of Wealthfront’s financial ecosystem, loved for its instant money movement, joint account access, and simplicity in helping clients earn more with their cash. This role reports directly to the Cash Design Director and is ideal for a designer energized by simplifying complexity and crafting clear, delightful experiences for clients.
Wealthfront pioneered automated investing by offering broad access to sophisticated investing strategies at a fraction of the cost of traditional financial advisers. Since then, we’ve expanded to help clients build long-term wealth through saving, investing, and more. As a Senior Content Designer on the Cash team, you will play a key role in enhancing our money movement experiences by connecting the dots between Cash and the broader Wealthfront ecosystem.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop clear, delightful experiences for clients accessing and deploying their cash in the Wealthfront ecosystem and beyond.
- Collaborate with the Move team to craft all surfaces enabling clients to access and deploy their cash.
- Define and execute content design strategies for Cash and other products and features.
- Work closely with product managers, product designers, and engineers to define opportunities and explore solutions.
- Take a collaborative mindset, influencing the user experience beyond just content.
Requirements
- 5+ years of content design experience in a consumer software company.
- Experience in building financial technology products is a plus.
- A portfolio demonstrating clear communication in product experiences such as product screens, notifications, microcopy, emails, FAQs, style guides, and patterns.
- The ability to manage multiple projects across teams, navigate ambiguity, and tailor effective content approaches within constraints.
- A self-starter with experience working across disciplines and with cross-functional stakeholders.
- An understanding of UX design principles and best practices for mobile and web.
- An eye for the details and an interest in the finer points of wordsmithery.
- A deep curiosity and interest in fintech.
