About the role
Baker Tilly is seeking a Senior Consultant, Digital Transformation - Auto Dealerships to join our dynamic team. Our professionals provide management consulting services to mid and large-sized companies, focusing on defining strategies and bringing clarity to extensive data sets.
Responsibilities
- Translate business requirements into Dealer Management System (DMS) configurations or enhancements
- Act as the client’s point of contact during deployment and provide post-go-live support (hypercare)
- Understand business processes and propose improvements, acting as a liaison between business stakeholders and development teams
- Apply business process and system expertise to implement leading practices in Auto Dealerships
- Train dealer staff across various departments (sales, service, parts, accounting)
- Manage and execute test plans, including requirements-based test plans to ensure the quality of digital project deliverables, and facilitate user acceptance testing
- Develop and execute robust change management programs to enhance client adoption
- Collaborate with project managers to identify and address project risks and issues, developing and deploying implementation methodologies, trainings, and toolkits
- Support sales cycles as a Subject Matter Expert, contributing to proposal development for new clients
- Engage in professional development through firm-wide learning and development programs, fostering the growth and development of team members and clients
- Participate in team-building activities to promote a healthy work-life balance
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, finance, engineering, computer science, management information systems, or a related field
- One (1) year of related Tekion or other DMS experience required
- Previous related Auto Dealership industry and consulting experience
- Tekion Certified Professional (TCP) qualification, highly preferred
- Experience with automotive software or software as a service (SaaS) implementations
- Strong management, analytical, organizational, interpersonal, project management, and communication skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel)
- Effective engagement at both the business and technical levels, providing excellent client service, and demonstrating a commitment to continuous learning
- Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders, including those from lower-level to C-suite positions
- Flexibility to travel to client sites and work outside of regular business hours
